Primary responsibility will be teaching Mathematics to secondary students ( Grade 9 to 12), prepare them for board exams, and inspire them to develop a deep understanding and appreciation of the subject. Be responsible for implementing the CHIREC academic vision committed to the highest standards of student success.

Job description

• Promote the improvement of teaching and learning in the school.
• Teach mathematics at the secondary students ( Grade 9 to 12), as per the prescribed curriculum.
• Plan and deliver well-structured and engaging lessons that foster a strong foundation in various mathematical concepts such as algebra, calculus, geometry, probability, and statistics.
• Use a variety of teaching techniques (e.g., interactive lessons, problem-solving, real-life applications) to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
• Design and conduct regular formative and summative assessments (quizzes, tests, and assignments) to monitor student progress.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback on student performance, offering support to help improve their understanding and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate with parents/guardians about academic performance when necessary.
• Create a positive, disciplined, and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation and independent thinking.
• Foster critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities in students.
• Develop and implement detailed lesson plans, teaching aids, and learning materials in line with the schools curriculum and teaching objectives.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching strategies into the curriculum.
• Offer additional help to students who require extra attention, whether through remedial classes or one-on-one sessions.
• Encourage students to explore mathematics beyond the curriculum through extracurricular activities, math clubs, and participation in competitions and Olympiads.
• Continuously enhance teaching skills by participating in professional development workshops, seminars, and conferences.
• Engage in self-study and research to keep up with advancements in the field of mathematics and educational technologies.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff members to enhance the overall teaching environment.
• Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and discussions regarding student progress and departmental improvements.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in mathematics (M.Sc. Mathematics or equivalent).
• Bachelors degree in education (B.Ed.) is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Mathematics at the secondary students ( Grade 9 to 12),
• Deep knowledge of mathematical concepts and their real-world applications.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with the latest teaching methods and technologies in mathematics education.
