Responsibilities ;

Primary responsibility will be, to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that fosters students' understanding of legal concepts, principles, and their real-world applications. Be responsible for implementing the CHIREC academic vision committed to the highest standards of student success.

Job description

• Create a safe and caring learning environment.
• Maintain effective classroom programs and establish classroom rules.
• Promote the improvement of teaching and learning in the school.
• Deliver lessons in Legal Studies (according to the curriculum) to students of Classes 11 and 12.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including discussions, case studies, and multimedia tools, to enhance student understanding.
• Provide a solid understanding of constitutional law, criminal law, family law, civil law, and human rights.
• Regularly assess students understanding through assignments, quizzes, and exams.
• Provide constructive feedback on students performance and progress.
• Maintain detailed records of student assessments and monitor their academic growth.
• Create a positive and respectful learning environment that encourages participation and critical thinking.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure adherence to school rules and discipline.
• Adapt and update lesson plans in line with the school's curriculum and evolving legal studies trends.
• Participate in regular departmental meetings to discuss teaching strategies, student progress, and curriculum changes.
• Offer academic guidance and mentoring to students who require additional support.
• Foster a love for legal studies and encourage students to pursue higher education and careers in law and related fields.
• Organize or participate in legal studies-related extracurricular activities, such as debates, mock trials, and legal awareness programs.
• Encourage student participation in legal quizzes, competitions, and events.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, legal changes, and teaching methodologies in the field of legal education.
• Participate in school-based and external professional development workshops and seminars.

Qualifications

• Masters degree (or equivalent) in Law (LL.M.) or a relevant subject.
• Bachelor’s degree in education (B.Ed.) is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in Legal Studies or related subjects at the senior secondary level.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to simplify complex legal concepts for students.
• Proficiency in using technology and digital tools for teaching and assessments.
