Operations Manager IT & Digital Operations

Role & responsibilities

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the IT and Web Services team, including System Administrators, Web Developers, and Web Designers. The role involves ensuring the smooth operation and delivery of services, while optimizing team performance and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. IT Infrastructure & System Administration:

• Oversee the System Administration team, ensuring PCs are well maintained across institutions, network security, server management, and IT infrastructure maintenance.
• Managing good working network, Wifi availability.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement upgrades to enhance efficiency and security.
• Manage all IT equipment in an office such as Printers, scanners, conference room equipment and CCTVs
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and data protection regulations.
• Manage cloud-based and on-premise server environments, backups, and disaster recovery plans.

2. Web Development & Website Management:

• Supervise Web Developers in the design, development, and maintenance of company websites, applications, and portals.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of web platforms.
• Manage content management systems (CMS), database integration, and third-party tools.
• Oversee coding best practices, testing procedures, and deployment strategies.

3. Web Design & User Experience (UX/UI):

• Work closely with Web Designers to ensure visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive website designs.
• Implement design standards, usability principles, and brand consistency across digital platforms.
• Monitor trends in web design and user experience to enhance website engagement and functionality.

4. Team Leadership & Performance Management:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of System Administrators, Tele Callers and Web Designers.
• Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide training to enhance technical skills.
• Facilitate collaboration between IT and other business departments to align technology with business objectives.

5. Project Management & Process Optimization:

• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for IT and web development initiatives.
• Implement best practices in Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
• Optimize workflows and standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Good on documentation and preparing the process documents.

6. Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

• Coordinate with external vendors, hosting providers, and third-party service providers.
• Manage software licensing, procurement, and contract negotiations.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and leadership teams to support business objectives.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's/Masters degree in IT, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
• 5 - 8 years of experience in IT operations, web development, or system administration, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
