Job Description
- Bachelor s degree in aviation management or business administration or marketing management
- Master s degree in aviation management or business administration or marketing management (preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of successful business development initiatives
- Minimum 10 years of experience in cargo business development (airport, airline, freight forwarding)
- Knowledge and understanding of international and domestic cargo transportation requirements including special commodities.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining strong customer relationships. Successful history of negotiating and closing high-value contracts
- Experience in market research, analysis, and identifying new business opportunities
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development plans to achieve company goals and expand market share in the Cargo and Airport industry.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations within the air cargo industry.
- Initiate negotiations and collaborate with key stakeholders to secure high-value contracts and partnerships
- Update and provide monthly MIS for tonnage and revenue to Management.
- Identify cause of deviation (if any), w. r. t last month / year / budget.
- Conduct meetings with Airlines, Freight forwarders and other stakeholders to identify influencing factors.
- Identify new revenue streams, business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations within the cargo industry.
- Assist in developing the Business plan and P&L of cargo business with proposed plan and get the necessary approval from respective stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and marketing to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Assist in preparing presentations and survey outputs.
- Analyze the new requirements raised by respective stakeholders in various meetings.
- Track the requirement and update management periodically on the developments
- Utilize market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adapt business strategies accordingly.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and recommend competitive pricing strategy
- Represent NMIA at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance visibility and forge new partnerships.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, technological advancements, and market trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation
