IT System Engineer

Reporting to: IT Infrastructure Head

Key Purpose of the Job: Management of IT assets across business entities / Custodian of IT related documents.

Educational Qualification / Experience required:

Education: Any bachelor's degree in a computing related discipline; or equivalent combination of education with other additional industry level professional certifications in the relevant field such as ITIL

Experience: 5+ Years in the IT Infrastructure Management environment

Other soft Skills required: General

• Should possess strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) with ability to have keen attention to detail
• Reliable self-starter and able to work cooperatively and establish positive relationships with cross-functional and remote teams.
• Understanding of IT Management guidelines such as ITIL
• Understanding of IT Financial Management related activities such as IT Budgeting, Execution and Monitoring of expenses Technical
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word

Key Responsibilities :

IT Asset Management

IT asset Procurement, Provisioning and De-provisioning

a) Understanding of the ITIL based Asset Management function and asset management tools.

b) Ability to understand the requirement, coordinate with vendor to obtain proposals.

c) Coordinate with vendors for delivery follow-up, implementation.

d) Interpersonal skills to coordinate with both internal and external parties

Tracking the IT assets deployed via Centralized tool and recording changes

Obtaining necessary clearances for Movement of assets and issuing documentation and tracking movement of the same

Physical verification of assets across location

Disposal of identified assets and coordinating with external parties for their movement

Asset inventory shared with business on a regular basis and getting their concurrence

Sharing of current inventory for various business level requirements such as Budgeting, cost workings for AMC, Management etc

Vendor Management, Documentation and other activites

Monitoring vendor related tickets, follow-up and escalation for ensuring right delivery

a) Ability to understand vendor deliverables and coordinate with the vendor management team of IT support partner

b) Ability to maintain the documents up to date.

c) Ability to understand finance functions of IT
