IT Asset Executive, IT Asset Senior Executive

Key Responsibilities:

• Asset Lifecycle Management:
• Support the management of IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal.
• Assist in conducting regular physical inventory audits and reconciliations.
• Ensure proper documentation is maintained for all IT assets, including purchase orders, receipts, warranties, and disposal records.
• Asset Tracking and Reporting:
• Maintain and update the asset management database (e.g., Service Now, Asset Panda) to track hardware and software assets.
• Generate and analyse asset reports, identifying trends in asset usage, and making recommendations for optimization.
• Asset Procurement:
• Assist in the selection and procurement process of new IT assets, ensuring alignment with the organizations needs and budget.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to manage quotations, order processing, and asset delivery.
• Compliance and Auditing:
• Support the implementation of asset management policies to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
• Participate in audits and provide required documentation for compliance verification.
• Vendor and Contract Management:
• Maintain relationships with third-party vendors and service providers for IT hardware, software, and support services.
• Assist in contract review and renewals, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Support and Coordination:
• Provide support for asset-related queries from internal teams, including troubleshooting issues related to asset management tools and processes.
• Collaborate with other IT departments to ensure timely deployment and decommissioning of assets.
• Disposal and Sustainability:
• Ensure proper disposal of retired assets following environmental and data security guidelines.
• Work with the IT Manager to develop and implement environmentally responsible asset disposal strategies.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
• Certification in IT asset management (e.g., Certified IT Asset Management, ITIL) is a plus.
• Experience:
• 6-15 years of experience in IT asset management or IT support roles.
• Experience with asset management software and tools (e.g., ServiceNow, SCCM, Asset Panda).
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong understanding of IT hardware, software, and licensing management.
• Knowledge of asset lifecycle management and best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor management and inter-departmental coordination.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical mind-set with experience in reporting and data analysis.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with asset management platforms and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
