Roles and Responsibilities
1. Team Management:
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of admission counselors to ensure an efficient admission process.
- Provide guidance, support, and regular feedback to team members regarding their performance and professional development.
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration, creativity, and achievement of targets.
2. Admission Process:
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize enrollment numbers while maintaining the quality of admitted students.
- Oversee the entire admission process, including application review, admission decision-making, and communication with applicants.
- Keep up-to-date with university policies, programs, and admission requirements to provide accurate information to prospective students and ensure compliance with regulations.
3. Relationship Building:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with schools, education consultants, and other stakeholders to promote Chandigarh University and build a pipeline of prospective students.
- Represent the university at education fairs, school visits, and other events to generate interest and increase brand visibility.
- Collaborate with university departments and faculty to ensure a smooth transition for admitted students.
4. Data Management:
- Utilize the universitys admissions software and databases to accurately document and track student information, application status, and enrollment trends.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports highlighting key performance indicators, conversion rates, and other relevant metrics.
- Analyze data to identify areas of improvement, inform decision-making, and optimize the admission process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in any discipline. A postgraduate degree in management, education, or related fields is preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational institution or the admissions department of a university.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) in English, Hindi, and preferably other regional languages.
- Proficient in using admissions software, databases, and MS Office tools.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
