Job Description
- Enforce school rules and regulations regarding student behavior, attendance, and academic integrity, promoting a culture of respect, responsibility, and accountability among students.
- Monitor student conduct within the university premises, including classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and other common areas, to ensure compliance with behavioral expectations.
- Respond promptly to incidents of misconduct, bullying, harassment, vandalism, or other disruptive behavior, conducting thorough investigations and documenting relevant information.
- Work closely with teachers, counselors, and administrators to address individual student needs, develop behavior intervention plans, and provide appropriate support and guidance.
- Meet with students and parents to discuss disciplinary issues, explain consequences for misconduct, and facilitate conflict resolution or mediation sessions as needed.
- Collaborate with the schools leadership team to develop and implement disciplinary policies, procedures, and preventive strategies, adapting them to meet the evolving needs of the university community.
- Maintain accurate records of disciplinary incidents, interventions, and outcomes using designated tracking systems or databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection laws.
- Provide training and guidance to staff members on disciplinary protocols, crisis management techniques, and de-escalation strategies to promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Serve as a resource for students, parents, and staff members seeking information or assistance regarding disciplinary matters, offering guidance, referrals, and support services as appropriate.
- Bachelors degree in education, counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
- Previous experience working in a role related to student discipline.
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, behavior modification techniques, and conflict resolution strategies.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and make fair and consistent decisions in challenging situations.
- Minimum 5yrs exp required.
