Job Summary:
As an Admission Counsellor at Chandigarh University, you will play a crucial role in assisting and guiding prospective students towards making informed decisions about their educational journey. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with potential students, provide guidance on admission procedures, and promote the benefits of studying at Chandigarh University.

Responsibilities:
1. Counselling: Provide accurate and up-to-date information about courses, admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, and University policies to prospective students and their parents/guardians.
2. Lead Generation: Utilize various channels such as virtual platforms, social media, educational events, and referrals to generate leads and attract potential students to Chandigarh University.
3. Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, educational consultants, and other relevant stakeholders to promote Chandigarh Universitys offerings and increase awareness among potential students.
4. Application Assistance: Guide students through the application process, review application materials, and ensure completion of all required documentation.
5. Communication: Provide timely and accurate responses to admissions-related inquiries via phone, email, chatbots, or face-to-face interactions.
6. Follow-up: Conduct follow-up activities to nurture leads, track application progress, and provide regular updates to applicants on the status of their applications.
7. Collaborate: Work closely with the admissions team, academic departments, and support services to ensure the smooth transition of admitted students to their respective programs.
8. Data Management: Maintain proper documentation, record keeping, and report generation on student inquiries, applications, and admissions data.
9. Stay Updated: Continuously stay updated with the trends in the education sector, admission criteria, and industry-specific best practices to provide accurate and relevant guidance to potential students.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelors degree in Education, Psychology, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields. A Masters degree is preferred.
2. Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in admissions or counselling roles within the education sector. Familiarity with University admissions processes is highly desirable.
3. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is a must. Fluency in additional regional languages would be an advantage.
4. Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to connect and build relationships with diverse individuals, including students, parents, staff, and external partners.
5. Tech Savvy: Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), and other technology platforms relevant to the role.
6. Problem-Solving: Effective decision-making skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with a positive and solutions-oriented mindset.
7. Passion for Education: Genuine interest in the education sector and a strong commitment to helping students achieve their educational goals.
8. Flexibility: Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, including the willingness to work evenings, weekends, or outside regular working hours when necessary.
