Job Description

The Quality Head forPumps will lead and oversee all quality assurance and control activities,ensuring that products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability,and regulatory compliance.

Position Overview:
The Assistant General Manager - Quality Assurance (QA) will play a key leadership role in maintaining and enhancing the quality assurance program within the organization. This individual will support the General Manager in overseeing the QA department, ensuring that all products and services meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. The role involves leading a team, implementing quality control processes, conducting audits, managing client expectations, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management:
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
Ensure that all quality processes and procedures are adhered to and continually improved.
Oversee product inspections, testing, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Work with cross-functional teams (such as production, engineering, and supply chain) to resolve quality-related issues.
Team Leadership and Development:
Supervise and mentor the Quality Assurance team, providing training and guidance to enhance their performance.
Foster a culture of quality, teamwork, and accountability within the department.
Conduct performance evaluations and recommend areas for professional development.
Compliance and Auditing:
Ensure that products and processes comply with industry regulations, standards, and customer specifications.
Prepare for and participate in internal and external quality audits, ensuring successful outcomes.
Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary updates to maintain compliance.
Process Improvement:
Lead initiatives for continuous improvement of quality processes, using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis.
Analyze data from quality metrics, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with other departments to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate effectively with customers regarding quality-related issues, providing solutions and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Handle customer complaints and product returns, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal impact on customer relationships.
Provide reports and updates to senior management on quality performance, trends, and customer feedback.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of quality audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
Prepare and present periodic reports on the department's quality performance, key metrics, and initiatives to senior management.
Ensure proper documentation for compliance with ISO standards or other relevant certifications.
Strategic Planning and Budgeting:
Assist in the development of departmental budgets, allocating resources efficiently to meet quality goals.
Participate in strategic planning activities to align quality objectives with organizational goals.
