Plumbing Designer/Draughtsman

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plumbing Designer / Draughtsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, drafting, and preparing plumbing layouts and schematics for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and standards, as well as expertise in CAD and BIM software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Drafting: Prepare detailed plumbing system designs, including layouts for water supply, drainage, and sewage systems, using CAD/BIM software.
• Code Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and project managers to integrate plumbing systems into overall project designs.
• Material Selection: Recommend appropriate materials, fixtures, and equipment for plumbing systems based on project requirements.
• Documentation: Create and maintain accurate project documentation, including technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Site Coordination: Provide support during construction, including reviewing contractor work, resolving design issues, and ensuring proper installation.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct design reviews and ensure all plumbing systems are optimized for efficiency and sustainability.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Plumbing Designer or Draughtsman in construction or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects.

Software Proficiency:

• AutoCAD
• Revit MEP
• Navisworks (preferred)
• Other relevant design tools

Knowledge:

• Thorough understanding of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, fire protection, and rainwater harvesting.
• Familiarity with local and international plumbing codes (e.g., IPC, UPC, IS codes).
