Job Purpose :

Leads a team of Tier II / III Engineers responsible for the administration and support of a subset of network or computing environments to include WLAN, LAN/WAN, network management, security and/or other technical platforms or domains. Provide network operations support with a large, complex enterprise LAN and WAN client in a predominantly Cisco-based networking environment.

• Review scripting, planning and execution of network Change Management process
• Investigate network issues / incidents and bring to resolution within stated SLA parameters
• Working with Incident, Problem, and Change Management
• Perform consulting work with various customers to determine requirements and design solutions based on documented standards and best practices
• Design and order network hardware / develop a bill of materials based on documented standards and templates
• Build detailed network drawings with Visio
• Work and collaborate with an Agile team
• Thorough understanding of BGP / EIRGP routing, NAT/PAT, VPN, and firewall technologies

Essential Functions:

• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to meet assigned customer and project deliverables
• Monitor and evaluate team processes and procedures
• Interact directly with customers on deployments as well as a point of escalation for issues
• Ensure team is properly trained on technology and systems to effectively design, implement and support network services
• Participate in solutions and service offerings in general or with specific customers
• Research emerging technologies

Education:

• Four years of College resulting in a Bachelors Degree or equivalent

Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses:

• Required Certifications or equivalent experience: CCNA / CCNP / Enterprise Route/Switch
• Additional desirable certifications / equivalent experience:
• Cisco Security Specialization
• Palo Alto Certification
• AVI
• Cisco ACI

Experience:

• 7-10 Years

• Familiarity with ITIL based ticketing solution (Service NOW experience a plus)
• HSRP environment experience
• In-depth knowledge of the configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, and firewalls

Supervisory Responsibility:

• This position has one or more employee direct reports
• High level team management capabilities and report to Manager-Tech Ops

Work Environment:

The work is primarily performed in an office or remote environment.
