Resident Executive

We invite applications for the role of Resident Executive.

Responsibilities

Being a resident on campus. Resident executives are required to stay at the student residences. Accommodation is provided at the residences.

Operations: One of the key responsibilities is to ensure student maintain residence decorum and adhere to university policies, rules and regulations defined in codes of conduct. Also, collaborate with campus security to ensure the safety and security of residents, addressing any safety concerns promptly.

Conflict Resolution: Develop conflict resolution strategies and resources to address roommate conflicts and interpersonal issues within the residential community.

Emergency response The Resident Executive is expected to help with emergency response and coordinate with other functions.

Communication: Effective communication skills are essential in this role. Establish a schedule of regular check-in meetings and feedback channels for residents to express concerns, provide suggestions, and voice their opinions about the residential community. Maintain record of resident interactions, incidents, and concerns, ensuring accountability and transparency.

Preferred candidate profile

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

• A graduate or postgraduate degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in managing student residences
• Excellent general skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and IT skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering teamwork and a collaborative work ethic.
