Category Manager at Andheri West with ORRA Fine Jewellery

Brief Summary

As the Category Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance and development of specific jewellery categories, ensuring their profitability and customer satisfaction. Your role will involve connecting with top-performing stores, collating feedback, analysing data, and working closely with the Chief Merchandising Officer and Category Head to drive strategic decision-making and product development.

Brief Job Description (just an indicative list and not limited to the following)

1. Identify and visit top-performing stores within assigned categories, including necklaces, bangles, bracelets, rings, earrings, pendants, platinum & solitaire, and gold.
2. Establish strong relationships with store managers and gather feedback on product performance, customer preferences, and market trends.
3. Regularly evaluate store performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
4. Provide inputs on pricing, assortment, promotions, and merchandising strategies based on feedback analysis.
5. Consult with the PPC (Product Planning and Control) team to seek suggestions for potential vendors to work with.
6. Collaborate with the suggested vendors to develop new product designs and prototypes based on market demands and customer preferences.
7. Work closely with the Category Head to present and discuss the design prototypes for approval and feedback.
8. Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer demand for the assigned jewellery categories.
9. Develop strategies to drive sales growth, improve margins, and maximize profitability.

Skill Required

1. Extensive experience of 5-8 years in jewellery design and merchandising, preferably in a retail jewellery industry.
2. Proven track record in leading and managing the performance of jewellery categories.
3. Strong knowledge of market trends, customer preferences, and competitor analysis in the jewellery industry.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to derive insights from feedback and sales data.
5. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and product development.
6. Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively convey ideas and recommendations to stakeholders.
