Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or a related field.
- Proven track record of managing and growing investments in early-stage or growth-stage companies.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with portfolio company leadership and industry stakeholders.
- Experience serving on boards or in advisory roles is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Willingness to work during weekends and evenings as per operational requirements

Overview:
The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the performance of the portfolio companies within our venture capital firm. This role involves working closely with the portfolio companies' leadership teams to drive growth, ensure operational efficiency, and prepare for successful upround of the portfolio companies and also exits for the fund (for which you will be collaborating with the Exit team at the Fund). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in venture capital, private equity, or related fields, with a proven track record of managing and growing investments.
Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management:
- Oversee the performance of portfolio companies, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and investment objectives.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and recommendations to portfolio companies.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the growth and profitability of portfolio companies.
Strategic Support:
- Work closely with portfolio company leadership to develop and refine business strategies.
- Identify and support growth opportunities, market expansion, and new product launches.
- Provide strategic guidance on key operational areas, including marketing, sales, product development, and human resources.
Financial Oversight:
- Monitor financial performance and key metrics of portfolio companies.
- Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for portfolio companies.
- Ensure effective financial controls and risk management practices are in place.
Board Representation:
- Serve as a board member or observer for portfolio companies as required.
- Provide strategic input and oversight during board meetings.
- Ensure effective governance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Network Building:
- Leverage the VC firm's network to create strategic partnerships for portfolio companies.
- Facilitate introductions to potential customers, partners, and industry experts, VCs and Strategics from a growth and exit point of view.
- Organize networking events, workshops, and mentoring sessions to foster connections.
Exit Planning:
- Collaborate with the growth and exit team to develop and execute exit strategies for portfolio companies.
- Assist in preparing companies for exit through IPOs, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), or secondary sales.
- Identify and engage potential buyers, including strategic acquirers and financial investors.
Market Analysis:
- Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and competitive dynamics.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to inform portfolio company strategies.
- Continuously update knowledge of best practices and emerging trends in the VC ecosystem.
