Investment Specialist - Real Estate (8-10 yrs)

The program aims to propel innovation in the built environment by identifying and nurturing startups with a focus on Technology while promoting sustainable growth. Launched in 2016, REAP has mentored more than 75 start ups across 16 cohorts and is recognised as one of the top accelerators in India.

Role Description

The Investment Specialist will be primarily responsible for origination, evaluation and closing investments, developing investment strategies, and managing investments related to technology startups in Real Estate, Retail, and Hospitality sectors. Additional responsibility includes providing mentorship support and delivering investment related module of the Accelerator Program.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deal Sourcing & Pipeline Development: Build and manage a strong pipeline of early-stage Proptech and sustainability startup investment opportunities across India aligned with REAP's focus areas.

- Deal Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive market research, financial analysis, and due diligence on investment opportunities.

- IC Presentation: Prepare detailed investment memos, financial models and relevant collateral to be presented to the pre-IC and IC.

- Deal Closure: Documentation including closing term sheets, SHAs

- Network Building: Leverage an exceptionally strong network within the India VC/PE ecosystem, startup community, and relevant industry stakeholders to identify high-potential opportunities.

- Portfolio Monitoring: Assist in managing existing portfolio companies by providing strategic insights, market analysis, and introductions to relevant networks.

- Mentorship Support: Provide mentorship support to start ups in the areas of fund raising including pitch decks, financial modelling, mock pitches, investor connects

Required Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree from a top-tier institution with a focus on finance, business, economics, or related fields.

- Experience: 8+ years of experience with significant exposure in venture capital, private equity or investment banking. Prior exposure to early-stage deal-making is a must.

- Network: Demonstrated ability to leverage a strong, existing network within India's VC/PE ecosystem, startup founders, and related stakeholders.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with founders, investors, and team members
