Job Summary:
- Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited is seeking an experienced professional specializing in New Projects (Business Development) within the hospitality sector. This strategic role involves identifying, evaluating, and developing opportunities for new hotel projects, including greenfield developments and acquisitions.
- The ideal candidate will have deep industry insights, strong financial acumen, and a network that supports market research, deal sourcing, feasibility analysis, project evaluation and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Research & Opportunity Identification - Conduct market research to identify potential sites and business opportunities for new hotels or expansions within target locations. Track and analyse hospitality trends, guest demographics, competitor landscapes, and emerging opportunities across India to drive strategic development.
2. Project Evaluation & Feasibility Analysis - Evaluate greenfield and brownfield hotel development opportunities, conducting financial, technical, and market feasibility studies to assess project viability. Prepare and present project recommendations, including financial modelling, risk assessment, ROI projections, and other key metrics.
3. Business Development - Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential projects through active networking, industry partnerships, and relationships with property owners, developers, real estate consultants and local authorities. - Negotiate terms, leases, and acquisitions with stakeholders, ensuring favourable outcomes aligned with BHVL's strategic growth and investment criteria.
4. Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with internal teams (legal, finance, operations, construction) and external consultants to ensure project viability and compliance with brand standards. Maintain strong relationships with hotel operators (for example Marriott, Accor, IHG, Hyatt) to ensure projects align with their operational requirements and standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business, Real Estate, or related field.
- An MBA or relevant postgraduate/advanced degree preferably in Finance.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in hotel project development, business development, or a related role in the hospitality sector.
- Strong financial analysis and project evaluation skills, with demonstrated experience in preparing feasibility studies, ROI calculations, and risk assessments.
- Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain industry relationships.
- Knowledge of hospitality trends, brand standards, and property development.
- Ability to travel as needed and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
