Role Overview:
- The General Manager - Growth Marketing will be responsible for driving the company's growth marketing strategy, overseeing P&L management, and leading a team to execute impactful marketing initiatives that foster long-term customer acquisition and retention.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Growth Marketing Strategy: Develop, refine, and execute end-to-end growth marketing strategies to accelerate customer acquisition and increase lifetime value across diverse segments.
- P&L Management: Oversee and manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the marketing function, ensuring budget allocation, forecasting, and revenue targets are met.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing growth marketing team, ensuring collaboration, innovation, and execution excellence across all campaigns and initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, data, engineering, and sales teams to ensure alignment on growth targets, strategies, and tactical initiatives.
- Innovation and Testing: Drive experimentation and innovation, leveraging A/B testing, data analysis, and market insights to continuously optimize marketing programs and strategies.
- Customer Insights: Lead the effort to analyze and understand customer behavior, leveraging data to refine targeting and optimize marketing spend.
Growth and Performance Focus:
- Customer Acquisition: Own and drive strategies that maximize customer acquisition channels, including paid, organic, and referral marketing.
- Retention and Engagement: Implement customer retention initiatives, focusing on increasing customer loyalty, reducing churn, and driving repeat business.
- Revenue Growth: Ensure that growth marketing activities are aligned with revenue objectives and deliver measurable results across key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize analytics and performance data to identify growth opportunities, optimize strategies, and demonstrate clear ROI on marketing initiatives.
Team and Operations Management:
- Team Development: Provide guidance, coaching, and leadership to team members, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and excellence in execution.
- Multitasking and Prioritization: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all key initiatives are progressing according to timeline and priority.
- Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate marketing performance, progress on initiatives, and growth strategies to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
Skills and Competencies:
Core Skills:
- P&L Management: Proven ability to manage P&L for marketing functions, ensuring alignment between spending and business objectives.
- Growth Marketing Expertise: Extensive experience in customer acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies, especially in fast-growing consumer internet companies.
- Data-Driven: Strong proficiency in data analytics, with the ability to derive actionable insights from data to guide decision-making and strategy optimization.
- Leadership and Team Building: Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and drive high-performance results.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication abilities, with the confidence to present and negotiate at all levels, including with senior executives and external partners.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, able to think critically and strategically to address marketing challenges and optimize growth.
Desired Skills:
- MBA from a Tier 1 Business School: Preferably with a strong foundation in marketing, strategy, or business administration.
- Marketing Technology Familiarity: Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce, and other marketing automation platforms.
- Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: MBA from a Tier-1 Business School or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-14 years in growth marketing roles, with proven success in managing P&L and leading teams.
- Prior experience in consumer internet companies or tech-driven organizations is highly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the consumer internet industry, marketing dynamics, and digital channels.
