Purchase Engineer

Education: Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 3-4 Years of experience in Fabrication / Automobile Industries.

Responsibilities:
Supplier Identification and Selection:
Conduct thorough research to identify potential suppliers based on factors such as quality, reliability, price, and delivery capabilities.
Evaluate supplier performance and select the most suitable ones for specific projects.

Request for Proposal (RFP) and Bid Evaluation:
Prepare and issue RFPs to qualified suppliers.
Analyze and evaluate bids received, considering factors like price, technical specifications, delivery timelines, and payment terms.

Contract Negotiation and Management:
Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best value for the organization.
Draft and manage contracts, including purchase orders, agreements, and change orders.

Purchase Order Processing:
Create and issue purchase orders to suppliers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Track order status and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

Quality Control and Inspection:
Implement quality control measures to ensure that procured goods and services meet specified standards.
Conduct inspections or coordinate with quality control teams to verify product quality.

Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock.
Implement inventory management strategies to optimize costs and minimize waste.

Cost Control and Optimization:
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement expenses.
Analyze purchasing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Supplier Relationship Management:
Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.
Resolve supplier disputes and address performance issues.
