IOT Devices Integration and Configuration Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and optimized configuration of IoT devices to achieve peak operational performance.
• Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve configuration-related issues to ensure system stability.
• Maintain standardized configurations across devices while ensuring strict adherence to organizational policies.
• Lead and execute configuration changes, upgrades, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.
• Efficient in remote configuration management processes for IoT system integration & reliability.
• Collaborate with Level 3 support teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
• Understand technical requirements and implement configuration strategies aligned with project objectives.
• Maintain comprehensive configuration documentation, including device settings, firmware versions, and software details.
• Maintain reports on configuration status, updates & compliance to inform stakeholders and Management.

Relevant Skills and Knowledge Areas:

• Understanding of IoT devices, including energy meters, sensors, contactors, and GSM network connectivity, enabling seamless device integration and communication.
• Expertise in managing the IoT device lifecycle, including over-the-air (OTA) updates for firmware and configuration management.
• Practical experience with version control tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) and robust change management processes to ensure consistency and traceability in configurations.

Desirable Competencies/ Skill Set:

• Hands-on experience in IoT systems, remote commissioning, or configuration management, providing a solid foundation for addressing challenges.

Previous roles such as IoT Systems Engineer or Configuration Manager, offering in-depth knowledge of day-to-day responsibilities and critical tasks in configuration management.
