Automation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer with expertise in Ansible automation and PowerShell scripting to join our IT infrastructure team. This role will focus on automating operational tasks, managing system configurations, managing SIPs, Identifying Automation opportunities, and improving deployment workflows to enhance efficiency and reliability across IT infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities:-

• Develop and Maintain Automation Scripts:
• Create, test, and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles to automate IT infrastructure tasks.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate administrative and operational tasks.
• Utilize Python for scripting and automation tasks as needed.
• System Configuration Management:
• Ensure consistent management and configuration of server environments using Ansible.
• Implement and manage system configurations to maintain optimal performance and security.
• Automation Opportunities:
• Identify and evaluate opportunities for automation within the IT infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement automation solutions.
• Deployment Workflows:
• Improve deployment workflows to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Integrate automation solutions with CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation tools and processes.
• Provide support and guidance to team members on automation best practices.
• Documentation and Training:
• Document automation solutions and processes for reference and training purposes.
• Conduct training sessions for team members on using automation tools and scripts.
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Proven experience with Ansible automation and PowerShell scripting.
• Strong understanding of Python scripting.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in Ansible, PowerShell, and Python.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure and systems administration.
• Experience with Linux/Unix administration.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Knowledge of security best practices in automation.
