Pattern Designer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Pattern Engineer with a passion for footwear design and manufacturing to contribute to the development of sport shoes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of pattern making, 3D modelling, and the technical aspects of shoe design. This role involves creating patterns that ensure optimum fit, comfort, durability, and style for our range of sport shoes.

Key Responsibilities

• Pattern Creation & Development:
• Develop and create detailed patterns for sport shoes based on design concepts, technical specifications, and fit requirements.
• Translate design sketches and 3D models into accurate patterns for mass production.
• Collaboration with Design & Development Teams:
• Work closely with the design and product development teams to ensure the final pattern aligns with the products aesthetic, functionality, and performance standards.
• Provide input on material selection, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes to improve product quality.
• Prototyping & Testing:
• Create and modify patterns for prototype samples, ensuring they meet all design, quality, and comfort requirements.
• Conduct pattern testing and adjustments to ensure proper fit and function before moving to the production stage.
• Technical Documentation:
• Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation for each pattern, including measurements, construction notes, and material specifications.
• Ensure all patterns are updated as per any design changes or engineering feedback.
• Quality Control & Production Support:
• Oversee the production of patterns and prototypes, working with plants to resolve any pattern-related issues.
• Ensure that the final product meets Campus quality standards for durability, fit, and overall design.
• Trend & Material Research:
• Stay updated with emerging trends in footwear design and manufacturing, particularly in sports shoes.
• Conduct research into new materials and technologies that can improve pattern efficiency, product performance, and comfort.

What are we looking for

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Footwear Design, Fashion Technology, Industrial Design, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Pattern Engineer or similar role in footwear, preferably in the sports or athletic shoe industry.
• Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in CAD software
2. Strong understanding of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
3. Experience in pattern grading, 3D prototyping, and footwear fitting techniques.

• Personal Attributes:

1. Strong attention to detail and technical precision.
2. Creative problem solver with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret design sketches into functional patterns.

• Additional Skills (Preferred):

1. Knowledge of sustainable or eco-friendly materials and processes.
2. Familiarity with sports footwear technologies, including comfort, performance, and biomechanics.

Working Days: Monday to Saturday (One Saturday off)

Location: Delhi (Peeragarhi)

Note: Candidates with Footwear industry experience will only be considered.
