Vice President - APAC Trade Surveillance (6-10 yrs)

VP - APAC Trade Surveillance

Our client is a global investment bank and financial services institution with offices across the globe. They are hiring for VP-Trade Surveillance team who will ensure efficiency and effectiveness of trade surveillance systems.

Responsibilities:

- Review Sales & Trading exception reports, identify and challenge issues and report for appropriate corrective action.

- Create trend analysis of the issues identified during trade surveillance and suggesting remedial actions for recurring trader or client behaviour.

- Ensure trading activities are under regulatory, legal and organization policies.

- Drive innovation and technology for trade surveillance team in compliance to the guidelines.

- Design and implement framework and best practices for global teams.

- Identify opportunities and gaps in controls and data from technical perspective.

- Support and manage enhancement and change management within processes and facilitate continuous improvements.

- Primary contact and SME for product owners and technology teams in surveillance teams.

- Up to date with industry regulations and trends and to drive new surveillance requirements.

Requirements:

- 5-8 years of relevant experience in APAC trade surveillance systems and technology.

- Experience working with global financial services firm.

- Strong SMARTS system knowledge, hands-on experience on parameter settings and alert calibration.

- Experience in monitoring surveillance systems, and calibration of systems e.g. NTS SMARTS, Actimize, and Tradinghub.

- Strong business acumen about market misconduct and trade surveillance alerts logic and design

- Experience in change projects and processes within surveillance.

- Excellent communication and strong presentation skills.

- Problem solver with strong analytical skills.
