Cadence Design Systems - Lead Application Engineer - Synthesis/PnR/Static Timing Analysis (5-8 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Application Engineer with expertise in Digital Implementation flow on advanced nodes. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Synthesis, Place & Route (PnR), Static Timing Analysis (STA), and EMIR (Electromigration and IR Drop analysis).

This role requires strong problem-solving skills, scripting abilities, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Technical Expertise : Provide technical leadership in Digital Implementation flow across advanced semiconductor nodes.

- Domain Specialization : Act as a subject matter expert in Synthesis, PnR, STA, or EMIR, offering deep insights and solutions.

- Debugging & Troubleshooting : Utilize excellent debugging skills to identify and resolve critical design and implementation issues.

- Flow Development & Optimization : Develop and enhance digital design automation flows using scripting languages (TCL, Python, Perl, etc.) to improve efficiency.

- Customer Engagement : Work closely with customers to understand their design challenges and provide tailored solutions.

- Cross-functional Collaboration : Partner with internal R&D, Product Engineering, and Marketing teams to ensure product alignment with customer needs.

- Technical Documentation & Training : Create and present technical documentation, training sessions, and whitepapers to educate customers and internal teams.

Qualifications :

- Education : BE/BTech/ME/MS/MTech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.

- Experience : Minimum 5+ years of experience in Digital Implementation on advanced process nodes.

- Expertise : Proficiency in at least one of the following : Synthesis, PnR, STA, EMIR.

- Programming Skills : Experience with scripting languages such as TCL, Python, Perl, and flow development is highly desirable.

- Debugging Abilities : Strong analytical and debugging skills to distinguish critical issues from minor ones
