Senior Attorney

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct quality assurance reviews of legal research reports, memos, briefs, and abstraction work prepared by junior legal researchers to ensure accuracy, adherence to guidelines, and overall quality.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior researchers, helping to develop their research & abstraction skills and legal knowledge.
• Collaborate with the legal team to refine research methodologies and ensure consistency in the analysis and presentation of research findings.
• Conduct in-depth legal research as needed, analyzing complex statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal trends and new regulations, and communicate these changes to the team.
• Prepare detailed reports and memos summarizing research findings and recommendations.
• Organize and maintain legal research databases and files for efficient access and retrieval.
• Stay informed of best practices by attending legal workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in professional networks.
• No court appearance or client counseling

Preferred candidate profile

• 4+ years of legal experience, with a strong focus on Case Laws and Litigations 
• Possess a bachelors or masters degree in law.
• Extensive knowledge of legal research tools and databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and support junior team members.
• Strong research and analytical skills with a track record of ensuring accuracy in case laws/litigation documents.
• Sound critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks, including oversight of junior researchers’ work.
• Proficiency in MS Office/Google Suite and familiarity with legal research management tools.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Experience with managing and maintaining legal research databases and ensuring high standards of data accuracy.
• Willingness to work virtually or in an office setting.
