Your next rolePrepare Technical Specifications and check work/specifications of subordinates.

Undertake project technical/quality reviews and attend design reviews for projects.

Undertake site visits as needed for the smooth operation of the project(s).

Contribute to group initiatives with respect to technical development / market sectors and processes.

You must be dynamic; have good technical ability and the courage to challenge existing ways of working to break new ground and to find new solutions to existing problems are essentialKnowledge of BIM technology and 3D Modelling (specifically Revit), the successful candidate will be required to use this technology in the development of design on a day-to-day basisExcellent communication skills and the desire to develop consultancy skills to act as an advisorProactivity in the approach to working with others and obtaining informationThe ability to prioritise work effectively and work under pressure.

Your skills and experienceYou will have been working in a design role with experience of designing security systems in the built environment for 6+ years.

You will understand the design process and approach to designing security systems (VSS, AACS, IDS, PIDS, SMS), specifically being able to identify critical considerations and factors in design.

Worked in Autodesk tools such as AutoCAD, Navisworks and RevitAuthored technical security specifications on projectsYou will have a good knowledge of standards applicable to security and related systems.

You will be able to clearly communicate concepts of security design and the rational which form the basis of a design.
