Mandatory Skills : SAP FICO, Global TAX
Key Responsibilities :
SAP FICO Implementation & Support :
- Lead SAP FICO module configuration and implementation for financial accounting and controlling processes.
- Design and implement solutions related to the General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), and Internal Orders.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP FICO and other SAP modules (SD, MM, etc.).
- Provide ongoing support, issue resolution, and system enhancements in SAP FICO processes.
Global Tax Management :
- Implement and configure global tax solutions, including VAT/GST, sales tax, and indirect tax in SAP.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws in various jurisdictions and configure the SAP system to handle different tax calculations and reporting requirements.
- Configure tax codes, tax jurisdiction codes, and integration with tax reporting tools.
- Work closely with the tax department to identify requirements for local, regional, and global tax reporting, including VAT/GST returns and withholding tax.
- Assist with the design and testing of tax reports and ensure compliance with global tax regulations (OECD, local tax authorities).
Tax Compliance & Reporting :
- Work with global tax teams to develop tax reports that support compliance with local and international tax obligations.
- Configure and manage SAP tools for tax reporting (e.g., SAP Tax Declaration, SAP Document Splitting, etc.).
- Monitor and implement changes in tax legislation across various countries and ensure the SAP system is updated accordingly.
- Collaborate with finance, tax, and audit teams to ensure timely and accurate tax filings and support tax audits as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Serve as a liaison between Finance, Tax, IT, and external consultants to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of system-related issues.
- Provide training and support to end-users in SAP FICO and tax-related processes.
- Participate in cross-functional projects involving tax optimization, system integration, or process improvements.
Project Management :
- Lead or participate in SAP FICO implementation or upgrade projects, with a focus on tax functionality.
- Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, timelines, and status reports.
- Ensure that the system meets all project deadlines and quality standards, and communicate project progress to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement :
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within SAP FICO and global tax processes.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in tax laws, SAP FICO best practices, and industry trends to drive improvements in SAP configurations.
Qualifications :
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- SAP FICO certification is preferred.
Experience :
- 8+ years of experience as an SAP FICO Consultant with a focus on global tax.
- In-depth knowledge of global tax compliance and reporting (VAT, GST, sales tax, transfer pricing, etc.).
- Proven experience in SAP FICO configuration (GL, AP, AR, AA, CCA, PCA, etc.) and integration with other SAP modules (SD, MM, etc.).
- Experience in implementing or upgrading SAP systems for tax reporting and compliance.
Technical Skills :
- Expertise in SAP FICO module configuration and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of SAP Tax functionality, including indirect taxes (VAT/GST) and withholding tax configurations.
- Familiarity with SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) or other global tax solutions.
- Strong understanding of integration points between SAP FICO and other enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with tax reporting tools (SAP Tax Declaration, SAP Document Splitting, etc.) is a plus.
