Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Digital Editor to lead and manage the digital presence of our publication. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in digital content strategy, brand solutions, and content innovation, combined with a robust network within the media, entertainment, and lifestyle industries. This role involves working cross-functionally with performance and perception teams, overseeing client solution and native articles, content ingestion, and ensuring seamless integration of content across print, digital, and social platforms. Comfort with client-facing roles, storytelling, and being in front of the camera is essential.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Digital Content Strategy Execution

  • Develop and execute a digital content strategy that aligns with the brand s editorial vision and audience growth goals.
  • Ideate, create, and oversee content across digital platforms, including websites, social media, and newsletters.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to ensure print articles are uploaded to the website and adhere to editorial themes and calendars.


2. Brand Content Solutions

  • Work closely with the EIC to design and execute innovative branded content campaigns that meet client objectives.
  • Conceptualize and develop editorial IPs that resonate with audiences and brands alike.
  • Create data-driven, visually compelling presentations for clients and stakeholders, pitching ideas to EIC and senior leaders.


3. Cross-Platform Integration

  • Collaborate with the social media and design teams to ensure that digital content is optimized for multiple platforms, maintaining consistency in messaging and tone.
  • Work with website management teams to oversee content ingestion, updates, and optimization for SEO and user experience.
  • Ensure that the editorial calendar themes are integrated across print, digital, and social channels for cohesive storytelling.


4. Industry Outreach Content Sourcing

  • Maintain and expand relationships with celebrities, influencers, and senior leaders in the media, entertainment, and fashion industries.
  • Secure exclusive interviews and features, ensuring the publication remains a go-to source for premium content.
  • Collaborate with contributors, writers, and photographers to source unique and engaging stories.


5. Digital Production On-Camera Presence

  • Oversee digital production for editorial features, branded content, and campaign videos.
  • Represent the brand in front of the camera for client-facing meetings, editorial features, and events.
  • Act as the face of the brand for special projects, conferences, and other high-visibility engagements.


6. Analytics Performance Optimization

  • Monitor website, social media, and content performance using tools like Google Analytics.
  • Leverage data insights to optimize content strategies and improve audience engagement.
  • Create and present performance reports to stakeholders, identifying areas for growth and improvement.


7. Editorial Calendar Management

  • Work with editorial, social media, and marketing teams to maintain a cohesive editorial calendar.
  • Ensure that content themes and topics are adhered to across platforms, aligning with broader editorial and commercial goals.
  • Plan content strategies in advance to match seasonal and industry trends, while staying agile for breaking stories and client needs.


Key Skills Competencies:


Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in CMS platforms, SEO, and analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in content amplification strategies, including organic and paid social media campaigns.
  • Experience in crafting multimedia content, such as video, podcasts, and interactive features.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Strong storytelling and editorial judgment with an eye for detail.
  • Confidence in public speaking, client presentations, and on-camera roles.

Industry Knowledge:

  • A well-established network in the media, fashion, and entertainment industries.
  • Understanding of global and regional trends in luxury, travel, and lifestyle content.

Qualifications Experience:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in digital editorial roles, preferably in lifestyle or luxury media.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-platform content strategies and branded campaigns.
  • Demonstrated success in building and executing editorial IPs and digital content solutions.
