Junior Stylist

We are seeking a passionate and creative Junior Stylist to join our dynamic fashion team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current fashion trends, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication and organizational skills. This role will provide a valuable opportunity to learn from experienced stylists, contribute to high-quality fashion shoots, and gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of magazine publishing.

This is a hybrid role based in Mumbai. It is important to share a link to your portfolio during the application process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Fashion Editor in all aspects of fashion shoots, including:
  • Garment selection and sourcing
  • Fitting models
  • Styling hair and makeup (basic knowledge required)
  • Set design and prop sourcing (as needed)
  • On-set assistance during shoots
  • Moodboard ideation
  • Post shoot image selection
  • Talent management for all shoots
• Conducting market research on emerging trends and designers
• Maintaining a strong understanding of the target audience and magazine aesthetic
• Assisting with garment returns and inventory management
• Contributing to the development of fashion stories and concepts
• Assisting with photo shoots for social media and other digital platforms
• Building and maintaining relationships with designers, PR agencies, and showrooms
• Staying current on industry news and trends

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Fashion Styling, Fashion Design, or a related field (preferred)
• 1-3 years of experience in a fashion styling role
• Strong understanding of current fashion trends and designers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 1

• Proactive and resourceful with a strong work ethic

• Passion for fashion and a desire to learn and grow
• Proficiency in Canva and powerpoint
• Portfolio showcasing styling work
