BNC is hiring for the role of Senior Finance Consultant for a long term contract role for digital consulting company based in Gurgaon.

Location : Gurgaon

Contract : Upto 1 Year

Position Summary:

The Senior Finance Consultant in a Controllership role will be responsible for managing the month-end closing of profit and loss statements, performing deep analysis of books of accounts, and reclassifying entries where necessary. The role involves preparing and presenting variance commentary on actuals vs. actuals, creating MIS reports, handling intercompany journal entries, and contributing to management presentations. The successful candidate should have a solid understanding of Indian tax laws, including GST and TDS.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Analysis:

1. Conduct detailed analysis of personnel costs using monthly pay registers (month-on-month/year-on-year).

2. Compare actuals vs. actuals and support the RF team with RF vs. actuals analysis.

3. Prepare journal entries related to restructuring costs.

4. Analyze actuarial costs and related entries.

Books of Accounts Analysis (Balance Sheet GLs):

1. Perform in-depth analysis of books of accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.

MIS Reporting:

1. Prepare and present Management Information System (MIS) reports, including insights into financial performance.

2. Provide specific reports like P&L, Beat Tax, and Overtime analysis to guide business strategy and decision-making.

Variance Commentary:

1. Deliver variance commentary for actual vs. actuals and RF vs. actuals to help management understand financial performance.

2. Interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

Month-End Closing Procedures:

1. Execute month-end closing tasks, including accruals, depreciation, prepayments, provisions, and tax entries.

2. Ensure all financial data is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.

Management Presentations:

1. Prepare financial presentations for management, summarizing monthly financial performance and key variances.

Desired Candidate Profile:

1. Education: CA or CPA is mandatory.

2. Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years in accounting, preferably in a controllership role.

3. Proven experience in senior finance roles within a controllership or accounting function.

4. Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.

5. Deep understanding of Indian tax laws, including GST and TDS.

6. Ability to handle month-end closing activities and variance analysis

Skills & Competencies:

1. Exceptional analytical skills to handle and interpret large amounts of financial data.

2. Expertise in intercompany accounting and reconciliations.

3. Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial software/tools.

4. Experience managing balance sheet reconciliations, revenue collections, treasury operations, and working capital.

5. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to engage effectively with stakeholders.

6. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines.

7. Ability to innovate and think out-of-the-box to solve complex financial challenges.

8. Excellent team collaboration and leadership abilities.
