Position: Senior Software Engineer - IT FP&A

Location : Hyderabad, India

IT FP&A Senior System Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining our Financial Planning Applications - Hyperion and TM1, ensuring its availability, performance, and security, working closely with the senior members of the team to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and contribute to the overall success of Finance Planning Systems.

Key Responsibilities

This role will be responsible to work on the design and development of financial reporting solutions using enterprise planning applications: Oracle Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning, as well as IBM Cognos TM1
Design, develop, and maintain Hyperion Essbase and Planning applications as well as IBM Cognos TM1
Desire to learn other enterprise planning applications like SAP-SAC, OneStream for transition from current platform.
Write and execute complex calculations and data manipulations using scripting languages and expertise in writing the business rules
Create custom dimensions, hierarchies, and members.
Implement security rules and access controls.
Integrate with other systems and applications for Inbound and Outbound data flows.
Stay up to date with the latest financial planning applications technologies and best practices.
Ensure system performance and uptime by ensuring adequate monitoring and response.
Support all necessary audits and inspections by satisfying information requests promptly.
Support Month-end and Year-end financial close process and address issues in a timely manner.
Delivery of projects on time and on budget, adhering to high-quality development principles
Absorb new ideas, drive innovation and continuous improvement for operations and design of processes. Develop visualizations to obtain insights.
Automate tasks to improve efficiency. Monitor system performance, identify, and resolve bottlenecks.
Build strong inter-personal relationships with peers, and other key stakeholders to help with the smooth implementation of new applications/capabilities and technologies.
Take ownership of assigned work activities and progress to conclusion promptly and efficiently.
Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance with company standards.
Stay up to date with the latest Planning technologies and trends and make recommendations for system improvements and optimizations.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent professional experience.
At least 5+ years of experience in financial planning application Oracle Hyperion.

Experience in PLSQL and Oracle database administration.
Experience in operating systems, such as Linux and Windows server.
Proficient in full life cycle implementation of planning systems, installations, upgrades, and patches.
Strong understanding of Hyperion system architecture, administration, and performance tuning.
Deep knowledge of Hyperion system monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Understanding of various Planning technologies: SAP-SAC, OneStream, Oracle Cloud Platform
Knowledge of security concepts and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Good documentation skills and practices.
Ability to work effectively in a global team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the organization, build strong partnerships to meet shared objectives.
Self-accountable and able to manage own time to meet deadlines.
