Captain - Restaurant

Roles and Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and create a positive dining experience.
• Take orders, answer questions about the menu and specials, and make recommendations.
• Handle customer complaints and inquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Ensure that all guests receive prompt and attentive service.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address any issues promptly.
• Ensure the restaurant is well-prepared for service, including table setting, cleanliness, and inventory.
• Manage the flow of service during peak hours.
• Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Lead and motivate the front-of-house team (servers, bartenders, etc.).
• Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and ensure efficient workflow.
• Train and develop staff on service standards and procedures.
• Schedule staff and manage breaks and lunch periods.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering.
• May be responsible for handling cash and credit card transactions.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
