Manager- Indirect Purchase

Position Purpose and Goals:

To guarantee efficient and effective execution and management of purchase process and commodities purchasing for the area of his/her responsibility, with aim of satisfying company needs according to time/quality/quantity parameters

Authorities:

• Negotiate & approve prices with supplier
• Approve purchase order, contract, SDS, PVR
• Initiate cost reduction activities
• Decide share of business
• Prepare annual material budget
• Leave sanction for direct reports

Job Description:

• Preparing & Implementing commodity strategies in line with corporate policies
• Co-ordination of purchasing budget activity
• On time completion of Capex procurement, infrastructure project including construction, machineries, facilities like warehouse & office interior
• Co-ordination between legal department & supplier to complete legal activities
• Provide co-ordination & supervision of the activities of the team that he/she leads, motivating them & stimulating necessary pro-activity
• Monitoring & ensuring cost reduction as per AOP
• Ensures relationship with corporate purchasing direction & commodity manager
• Ensures compliance with rules & procedure of Purchasing
• Coordination between supplier & end user to ensure optimum cost, quality & on time delivery

Qualification:

• Any Graduate/ B. E/ M. Com/ MBA in Materials Management
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in auxiliary & Indirect purchase
