WCM Specialist / Lean Manufacturing - Pune

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager Plant Operations to join our team at Brembo. The role will focus on developing, implementing, and maintaining our Production System (World Class Manufacturing - WCM) across all production sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving key industrial KPIs by applying effective methods and tools, primarily focusing on WCM and Lean Manufacturing principles. This individual will be a key driver in optimizing plant operations, ensuring consistency and excellence in manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development and Maintenance of Production System (WCM):
  Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) system across Brembo production sites. Actively contribute to the creation, definition, and updating of guidelines related to the Production System.
• Leadership of WCM Pillars:
  Act as the leader for one or more WCM pillars (e.g., Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Environment, People, etc.) for the assigned area. Ensure the application and adherence to WCM practices in all global production sites.
• Implementation and Monitoring:
  Oversee the proper application of the Production System (WCM) at all Brembo sites (WW) using assessment tools and checklists to monitor progress and ensure compliance.
• Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
  Lead specific improvement projects and task forces aimed at driving operational excellence (e.g., Maintenance, Digitalization, Waste Reduction, etc.). Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques and tools to continuously improve processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
• Training and Development:
  Provide guidance and training to plant teams at all levels on the principles and practices of WCM, Lean, and Continuous Improvement. Ensure that all relevant personnel are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
• Global Coordination and Collaboration:
  Coordinate with other global sites to implement best practices, share learnings, and ensure consistent application of WCM and Lean Manufacturing techniques across all facilities.
• Performance Tracking and Reporting:
  Track and report on key industrial KPIs (e.g., OEE, cycle times, scrap rate, etc.), providing regular updates to leadership on progress, challenges, and results.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Educational Qualifications:
  Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (BE/B.Tech).
• Experience:
• Experience in plant operations or manufacturing optimization, specifically within the automotive industry.
• Experience in managing or working with the WCM system or Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Proven experience leading continuous improvement projects, including process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements.
• Skills and Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of WCM methodology and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams to drive change and improvements.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams globally.
• Proficiency in using industry-standard tools and software (e.g., ERP, MS Office Suite, etc.).
• Additional Considerations:
• Willingness to travel to various production sites, both domestic and international, as required.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
