Position Purpose

What You’ll Do

  • Working with internal customers on projects and technical solutions producing configuration and installation documentation, carrying out network design, specification, and configuration.
  • Troubleshooting and problem analysis
  • Managing and raising changes in accordance with any required change management process
  • Managing the EHOST ticket triage process
  • Monitoring and tracking SSL certificate life cycles/expiration
  • Acting as a senior escalation point for troubleshooting and resolving issues with the cloud infrastructure
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure environments meet customer needs
  • Providing 3rd line technical support out of hours work to implement technical solutions
  • Continuous service improvement opportunities
  • Contribution towards customer audit requirements

It is essential the successful candidate can show a proven record of working on their own initiative and within a team deliver technical support and robust business solutions. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and have “can do” and flexible attitude. They will be an excellent communicator capable  of articulating complex systems to senior management and capable of managing key stakeholders as well as demonstrating leadership to junior colleagues in the Run Team. They will need to have at least 3-4 years’ experience in wider infrastructure virtualization in environments such as AWS. 

Skills and knowledge required:

Infrastructure

  • Solid knowledge and experience supporting AWS cloud infrastructure, including planning, implementation, optimization and growth.
  • Troubleshooting incidents, identifying root causes and fixing problems.
  • Educating and acting as a coach/mentor to junior colleagues
  • Ensuring that good ticket hygiene is maintained
  • Ensuring that security protocols are adhered to
  • Staying current with new technology options and services
  • Documenting infrastructure changes and maintaining process workflow documentation
  • Excellent communication skills – internal, technical and non-technical audiences
  • Raising and managing changes
  • Managing and Tracking Certificate Life Cycle
  • JIRA EHOST ticket management and triage
  • JIRA Report/Dashboard development and service reporting

General

  • Troubleshooting issues
  • Experience using ITSM Jira
  • ITIL knowledge
  • Experience with  working with cloud vendors (AWS / Azure)

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – able to communicate ideas, concepts and facts to both projects, peers and senior members of staff.
  • Friendly, professional, and business-like approach to clients / Solutions staff.
  • Delivery focused.
  • Systematic, logical thinker with excellent attention to detail, but able to take a holistic view of the delivery organization and its associated processes.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a project team

Qualification & Experience

  • B.Tech/MCA or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience.
