Role : ServiceNow Architect
About the Role :
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary ServiceNow Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform, its capabilities, and best practices, coupled with a proven track record of delivering complex and scalable solutions.
As a ServiceNow Architect, you will be responsible for defining the architectural roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and providing technical leadership to a team of developers and administrators. You will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, driving innovation and maximizing the value of our ServiceNow investment.
Responsibilities :
Architectural Leadership :
- Define and maintain the overall ServiceNow architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Develop and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend new ServiceNow features and modules to meet evolving business needs.
- Lead the design and implementation of complex integrations with other enterprise systems.
- Create and maintain architectural documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and design patterns.
Solution Design & Implementation :
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and implement custom ServiceNow applications, workflows, and integrations.
- Lead the development of proof-of-concepts and prototypes to validate architectural designs.
- Oversee the development and deployment of ServiceNow solutions, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to ServiceNow developers and administrators.
Platform Governance & Optimization :
- Establish and maintain ServiceNow platform governance processes.
- Monitor platform performance and identify areas for optimization.
- Manage ServiceNow upgrades and patching, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements.
- Implement and maintain ServiceNow CMDB and service mapping.
Stakeholder Management :
- Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, providing expert guidance on ServiceNow capabilities.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Lead workshops and presentations to demonstrate ServiceNow solutions and best practices.
- Collaborate with vendors and partners to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage and resolve platform related risks.
Technical Skills :
ServiceNow Platform Expertise :
- Deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform architecture, including ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, and CSM modules.
- Extensive experience with ServiceNow development, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide), workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and data management.
- Expertise in ServiceNow integration technologies, including REST, SOAP, and JDBC.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow security best practices and data privacy regulations.
- Experience with ServiceNow performance tuning and optimization.
- Expert level knowledge of the servicenow CMDB, and service mapping.
Development Skills :
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and XML.
- Experience with web services and API development.
- Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Experience with source control systems (Git).
Cloud & Infrastructure :
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with ServiceNow.
- Understanding of infrastructure concepts, including networking, servers, and databases.
Database & Data Management :
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
- Understanding of data modeling and data integration concepts.
Other Skills :
- Experience with ITIL frameworks and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with ServiceNow automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with ServiceNow performance analytics.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in IT, with a focus on ServiceNow architecture and development.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications are highly desirable.
- Proven track record of delivering complex and scalable ServiceNow solutions.
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large scale servicenow implementations.
