Assistant Manager/ Manager Commercial

Role & responsibilities

The purpose of this position is to manage Accounts receivables and dealer Reconciliation. Settling Dealer Issues, Warehousing, invoicing and Logistics. Managing Third Part logistics ( CSA/ C&F), Physical Stock taking. Indirect taxation - Assessments, taxes and statutory compliances etc for one or many business lines.

1. Commercial Operations

• Prepare & facilitate monthly dashboard on Region performance KPIs, Sales, Allowances, Overheads with Region Team.
• Monitoring the debtors credit limits, ageing analysis and set credit limit for the local vendors for effective working capital management
• To review monthly costs & compare the same with Budget of last year/Month, highlight variances & ensure no overruns.
• Support Region Head in decision making, spends effectiveness, revenue enhancement etc. through high-level MIS / analytics on an ongoing basis.
• Assist in the approval process of new customer/vendor appointment, by analyzing financial track record, business experience & documents to evidence
• Preparing & reviewing letter of credit formats or clients & vendors
• Co-ordinating for Bank Guarantee requirements
• To monitor and keep a track on the ongoing sales schemes for the region and ensure proper accounting of the same.
• Assist the HO Sales Finance in closure of Material Reconciliations, Debtors Ageing review, resolving queries on Bank reconciliations, follow up with Debtors etc.
• Ensure that invoices, Order acknowledgements, sales orders, Purchase orders, receipts and other supporting documents are prepared in timely and accurate manner.

2. Inventory & Logistics Management

• Materials receiving, storage and issuance as per production plan
• Good Inventory Control Mechanism.
• Optimum inventory of all SKUs at Branch
• Co Ordinate with HO Logistics for schedules to dispatch FG to Branch
• Physical Stock Taking of all Finished goods on monthly basis, maintaining accuracy of physical stock w.r.to Book Stock against SAP.

• Zero discrepancy in the stock levels
• Proper 5S to be maintained at the Warehouse
• No handling damage cost, zero accidents in warehouses
• Optimization in In-bound logistics cost
• To communicate effectively with the vendors Transporters, forwarding agents, courier companies, etc for better rate negotiation and smooth branch operations.
• Transit time Monitoring & Control.

3. Statutory compliance.

• Keep track of C - Forms collection, follow-up on pending Forms, initiate suspension of default parties to ensure NIL differential tax liability
• Conduct monthly petty cash audits.
• Indirect Tax Co-ordinate with CA/Sales team on Assessment pending points, attend hearings, liaison with department on any dispute & resolution.
• Liaison with the Insurance surveyors, whenever any insurance claims are arising in any of the transactions, and support to HO for Insurance claims settlements.

• Preferred candidate profile

• B.Com with CA-Inter or with MBA Finance.
• Minimum 7 years work experience with atleast 3 -4 years in branch commercial operations in similar Industries or setup.
• Strong analytical & collaboration skills, process oriented, effective communication and multi-tasking skills to ensure adherence to period-end timelines, enforce stringent Management Policies and effective Business Partnering.
• Should have a good working experience in handling logistics for small-scale to large scale operations.
• Excellent negotiation skills and vendor management.
• Should have Working knowledge of Indian Direct and Indirect Tax Structure, especially GST.
