Job Description
Reports to : Project Manager/ Construction Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for our Solar energy projects to join us in taking the lead on Electrical execution works of large scale ISTS connected Projects based at sites across India.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the Electrical package of Solar Power Plant at site under guidance of Construction Manager and Project Manager. The roles and responsibilities include the following:
- Studying all the drawings thoroughly and providing the input to Construction Manager and Project Manager for incorporating any required changes for ease of construction.
- Responsible for Establishment of solar power plant which includes, Cable trenching, cable laying, erection of equipments, Terminations, Erection of Module Mounting Structure, Installation of module, stringing, earthing, testing & commissioning. etc.
- Following up with contractor for deploying required manpower in line to the approved schedule.
- Responsible for driving the desired progress.
- Keeping track of opening and closing stock of construction materials and taking up with contractor for timely delivery of the construction materials to avoid any kind of work disruption in want of materials.
- Keeping log of all site inspections, test reports, Warranty certificates of all the equipment s, FTCs, SAT, FAT etc.
- Giving input to construction manager and project manager for preparing contractual letters for contractors.
- Preparation of daily progress report of and sending to Construction Manager and Project Manager on daily basis
- Timely escalation of issues such as Hindrances, Critical issues etc.
- Managing local issues occurring to ensure smooth operation of site activities.
- Certifying contractors measurement as per site works.
- Ensuring filling and signing of construction checklist and RFI forms on regular basis.
- Responsible for adhering all the quality regulations, norms and policies set by BLE.
- Responsible for adhering all the safety regulations, norms and policies set by BLE.
- Leading the FTC, data validation, trial run and commissioning of solar power plant as per present regulations.
- Material reconciliation
- Closure of punch points
- Handing over the packages to O&M.
- Leading the subordinates and providing directions and guidance to perform effectively to achieve the progress as per approved schedule.
- Developing the subordinates to take up more responsibilities in upcoming days.
- Contractual closure of the projects with suppliers & contractors and closure of the Project
Skills and qualifications
- Diploma /Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Proven track record of Min. 10 years
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of Electrical Engineering and construction pertaining to Solar Project
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with demonstrated problem-solving capability.
