Firmware Engineer - Embedded System (4-7 yrs)

Firmware Development :

Primary Skills :

- Strong knowledge embedded concepts

- Must have experience in developing solutions on Microcontroller with hands on experience in Embedded Linux, Embedded C and C++, Strong debugging skills

- Experience on protocols like BACnet, ethernet communication, Serial communication interfaces like RS 485, SPI, SCI, I2C, etc.

- Hands on experience on different analog and discrete IO signals, scheduling algorithms.

- Good to have HVAC concepts

- Strong familiarities in dealing with different tools (Visual studio, IBM Jazz, Git etc) and software development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and test AUTOSAR-compliant firmware for automotive applications.

- Implement Microcontroller Abstraction Layer (MCAL) modules to support various microcontrollers.

- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define hardware-software interfaces and requirements.

- Conduct integration testing and validation of firmware components within the AUTOSAR architecture.

- Troubleshoot and resolve firmware-related issues in a timely manner.

- Maintain documentation for firmware design, development processes, and testing procedures.

- Stay updated on the latest developments in AUTOSAR standards and automotive technologies.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience in firmware development for automotive systems, with a strong focus on AUTOSAR and MCAL.

- Proficiency in C/C++ programming and familiarity with embedded systems.

- Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).

- Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded software development practices.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Knowledge of AUTOSAR tools (e.g., Vector, dSPACE) and model-based design methodologies.

- Familiarity with safety standards such as ISO 26262.

- Experience with software configuration management tools and version control systems.
