Job Description
- Inspection and Measurement:
- Conduct precise measurements of machined corrugating rolls using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other relevant instruments.
- Measure and verify parameters including Total Indicating Runout (TIR), surface roughness, and diameters.
- Ensure compliance with GDT principles and engineering drawings.
- Quality Control:
- Implement and follow quality control procedures and protocols to maintain high standards of production quality.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality databases.
- Problem Identification and Resolution:
- Identify and report any non-conformances or deviations from the specified tolerances.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
- Calibration and Maintenance:
- Maintain and calibrate inspection and measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Perform routine maintenance on quality assurance equipment as necessary.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Ensure all inspection documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in quality measurement techniques and tools.
- Coatings and Sandblasting:
- Inspect and measure coatings on machined components to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Possess a basic understanding of sandblasting processes and their impact on component quality.
- ITI/Diploma Mechanical or equivalent; technical certification in quality assurance or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in a quality assurance role within a machining or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using GDT measurement techniques.
- Knowledge and experience in grinding processes.
- Familiarity with ISO quality management systems.
- Knowledge of coatings and coating measurement techniques.
- Basic knowledge of sandblasting processes.
