Job Description
- Machine Operation:
- Operate sandblasting, coating, and polishing machines with precision.
- Independently run and manage the high-velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) coating machine.
- Ensure all machines are operating at required speed and process parameters.
- Quality Control:
- Maintain high standards of quality in all machining processes.
- Inspect and verify the quality of tungsten carbide coatings on steel rolls.
- Adhere to all quality assurance protocols and ISO standards.
- Process Adherence
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions meticulously.
- Maintain accurate records of process parameters and production data.
- Total Productive Maintenance (TPM):
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machines.
- Implement TPM practices to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- 5S Implementation:
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment according to 5S principles.
- Ensure all tools and materials are properly stored and labeled.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Report any issues or concerns promptly to the production manager.
- Training and Development:
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a machining or manufacturing environment, preferably in the turbine industry.
- Proficient in operating sandblasting, coating, and polishing machines.
- Expertise in high-velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) coating techniques on machined components.
- Strong understanding of total productive maintenance (TPM) and 5S principles.
- Familiarity with ISO systems and quality assurance protocols.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good eyesight and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
