Job Description :

We have a position for Network SME to manage Airtel IT Data Center network. Candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day network operations/Engineering and ensuring its stability, integrity, and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting our network infrastructure.

As a senior member of the team, this role requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking to run the operation with Cisco ACI, Arista Network, Cisco Nexus, Routing & Switching, Load Balancer and Monitoring tool

Key Responsibilities :

- Technical support for networking such as : WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, wireless and security.

- Configure and deploy network routers, switches, and related devices based on design specifications and organizations guidelines.

- Configure and optimize network switching technologies, such as VLANs, spanning tree protocols (STP/RSTP/MSTP), and link aggregation.

- Utilize network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities to identify and resolve network incidents in a timely manner.

- Create and maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.

- Evaluate and implement routing and switching-related changes, including router and switch configurations, firmware upgrades, and network topology modifications.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex network issues.

- Hands-on experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds).

Desired Skills and Experience :

- Strong knowledge of DC Spine and Leaf architecture on platform like Cisco ACI, Arista IP Fabric, Arista CVP.

- Exposure of GCP, AWS Cloud Network Infrastructure.

- Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, Traffic Engineering, Spanning tree (RSTP & MST), VPC, MLAG, PBR etc.

- Familiarity with network security principles and integration of security controls into the network infrastructure.

- Creation of scripts to achieve automation tasks.

- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as Wireshark, SNMP, and NetFlow.

- Hands on experience of working on Cisco Nexus 5k, 7k and 9K devices, Arista 7504, 7050 juniper 5100 devices.

- Hands on experience on Data Centre Fabric technologies like ACI, Arista EVPN and Juniper Apstra.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent are desirable.

- Collaboration with various teams in understanding the requirement and implement Network service accordingly.

- Experience in VMware technologies such as VMWare NSX T is an added advantage.

- Rich understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).

- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
