Role & responsibilities

Role Objective

To ensure the safety and security of the plant, its employees, materials, and assets by implementing effective security protocols and maintaining a secure working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Management:
• Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures for the plant.
• Oversee the deployment and management of security personnel across the plant premises.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation:
• Conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
• Implement preventive measures to address internal and external security threats.
• Personnel Supervision:
• Lead and train the security team to ensure high levels of vigilance and responsiveness.
• Coordinate with third-party security agencies to maintain adequate manpower and service levels.
• Liaison with Authorities:
• Maintain strong relations with local law enforcement, fire services, and other government agencies.
• Act as the primary point of contact during emergencies or incidents involving external authorities.
• Asset Protection:
• Monitor and safeguard critical infrastructure, machinery, and raw materials against theft, vandalism, and accidents.
• Ensure the secure movement of materials within and outside the plant premises.
• Crisis Management:
• Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire, theft, or industrial unrest, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Develop and implement evacuation plans and emergency drills.
• Compliance & Reporting:
• Ensure compliance with safety and security regulations as per statutory and corporate requirements.
• Maintain records of incidents and prepare reports for senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education & Language:
• Minimum graduate degree preferred.
• Fluency in Telugu (spoken and written) is mandatory.
• Background:
• Retired personnel from the Indian Police Service (IPS), State Police, or Armed Forces with a minimum rank of DSP/Major or equivalent.
• At least 10-15 years of experience in security management roles, preferably in industrial or manufacturing sectors.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in handling security systems like CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.

Key Competencies:

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations.
• Sound understanding of local law and order dynamics.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to reside in Plant Accommodation.
• Flexible to work extended hours as per plant requirements.
