Department: CEO's Office
Designation: Procurement Head
Location: Hyderabad
Team Size To be built - ~100 associates in Subsidiary companies
Role & Responsibilities:
- Key responsibilities and focus areas shall include:
- Overall responsibility for ensuring product availability for sales as per the assortment and enhancing purchase margins at optimal inventory levels.
- Build strong relationships with the vendor companies (pharmaceutical companies) to create value.
- Design and implement a shared service center for purchase of traded goods for all the subsidiary companies to enhance purchase margins and drive productivity.
- Ensure meeting working capital targets for the group through optimization of the purchasing process and negotiating credit terms with vendors.
- General Skills - Very strong influencing skills to drive change with the subsidiary partners.
- Self-motivated individual who takes initiatives independently.
- Displays integrity, openness, transparency.
- Results and outcome oriented individual.
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Skills - Strong Negotiation skills.
- Strong Analytical Skills - with hands on skills on culling insights and information from large amounts of data.
- Strong business acumen.
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical business.
- Prior Experience - 5 years minimum experience in Pharma/ wholesale/ retail industry in purchasing/ shared service roles.

- Graduate (mandatory)
- MBA (preferred)

Other: Travel 10 - 15%
Key Experience:
- Procurement or relevant shared service leader with proven business results.
- Hands on experience in vendor negotiations - preferably of traded goods in a wholesale or retail environment.
- Very strong analytical skills and a feel for numbers.
- Demonstrates the ability to handle scale, complexity, and ambiguous environments / situations, including the ability to handle multiple senior-level internal/external stakeholders.
- Strategically strong with an ability to 'connect the dots', have a road map for the business and inspire confidence at the highest levels.
