Roles and Responsibilities:
STRATEGY:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for on-time filing of all indirect tax returns, aligning with regulatory requirements and organizational goals for compliance.
- Establish benchmarks for the reduction in the effective tax rate, formulating long-term strategies to optimize tax efficiency and minimize financial liabilities.
OPERATIONS:
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the timely and accurate filing of all indirect tax returns, collaborating with tax teams and relevant stakeholders.
- Implement processes and measures to reduce the effective tax rate, considering legal and ethical frameworks.
- Monitor changes in tax regulations, adapting strategies to align with evolving legal requirements and financial goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of tax strategies with overall business objectives.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Taxation, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) and membership in relevant taxation associations.
- Proven experience in a leadership role in indirect taxation, with a focus on compliance and tax optimization.
- In-depth knowledge of indirect tax laws, including GST and other applicable taxes.
