What You'll Do :

This role will lead our Messaging, Communities & E-mail squad. (e.g. Slack, Teams Messaging, Outlook and other tools).

The Product Owner must be a leader who is customer-centric and enjoys working with teams to design and deliver exceptional products to customers. You will lead a Squad and work directly with its members to prioritize and manage what needs to be done and by when. Working with Squad members without line management authority over them will be key-you are a servant-leader and embody that in how you approach the work. You will coordinate closely with your Product Team Lead to stay aligned on business goals and make sure your Squad is progressing and delivering against them. You will also represent the voice of the customer, both internal and external such as clients, and make sure that Squad members understand their needs and preferences. To get this work done, you will own and prioritize the backlog of user stories that your Squad members will use to inform their work, and be responsible for supporting and motivating your squad members

Among your responsibilities, you will :

- Deliver business results and customer value

- Ensure that the product is built/updated in an incremental way, releasing new working features at the end of each quad and creating value for the customer

- Tracking product performance to inform future work

- Delivering on specific and measurable KPIs to be defined for your Squad

- Managing relevant product budget process and supporting Portfolio Lead in engaging with funding process

- Serve as the voice of customer or end-user

- Translating the voice and needs of customer into user stories, engaging users as needed

- Engaging in continuous discovery (e.g., via surveys & interviews) to understand user needs

- Leveraging empirical and qualitative data to assess feature performance and inform prioritization

- Determining tradeoffs involving customer value, cost, and speed to execution

- Representing user needs to ensure they are understood and integrated into the Squad's work

- Facilitating product demos to empower Squad members with real-time feedback from users

- Oversee what is delivered by the Squad and when

- Prioritizing work through a well-organized backlog of user stories and clearly communicating what needs to be done and by when

- Defining and clearly communicating acceptance criteria for output based on business & customer needs

- Support and enabling the Squad to get its work done

- Regularly engaging with the Squad to offer feedback on work-in-progress and clarify requirements

- Understanding dependencies on other squads (e.g. Network, Data & Analytics, etc) and working with PO counterparts to schedule and address.

- Engaging with Chapter Leads regarding resourcing and functional expertise required in Squad (Development, Engineering, QA, Change, etc.)

- Providing feedback as part of performance management of Squad members and other members of the Portfolio

- Set an overall vision to direct and inform the Squad's work

- Working closely with the Portfolio Team Lead to understand and drive alignment on the Portfolio's business strategy, goals, and objectives

- Translating Portfolio's objectives into a clear vision (e.g., via KPIs, sprint goals) for your Squad to inform the creation and prioritization of the Squad's backlog of work

- Sharing information about the Squad's output and priorities with other Product Owners to ensure alignment across the organization

- Enable the organization's new way of working

- Modelling behaviors to support the organization's transformation to a new way of working

- Actively creating and maintaining a Squad culture based on the organization and Agile behaviors

- Providing informal and formal feedback within context of larger performance management system

- Developing and coaching Product Owners and Product Managers

- Managing and developing direct reports to help improve individual and team performance

- Regularly collecting and providing continuous feedback as part of performance management process for direct reports

What You'll Bring :

- Total 7+ years' relevant experience as Product Owner / Manager, including preferably also experience as Scrum Master or Agile Coach/ Mentor in 1 or more organizations

- Total 7+ years' relevant experience in various Digital Collaboration products such as messaging, e-mail, content collaboration and productivity products

- Agile certifications, preferably Scrum.org (Professional Scrum Product Owner) or Scrum Alliance (Certified Product Owner)

- Understanding of agile principles and ways of working

- Good understanding of technology enabled business transformation, Digital transformation, Organizational transformation, delivering enterprise-level IT and Digital projects

- Divergent thinker who can converge ideas into tangible products

- Exceptional communications and stakeholder management skills

- Experience in consulting is a plus

Who You'll Work With :

- Every member of your squad, some of whom will be members of Engineering, Change, and UX chapters.

- Internal users, translating their voice and needs into user stories and engaging users as needed

- Portfolio Leaders, who will set the vision, roadmap, budget, and priorities & OKRs for the tribes and subsequently, for the squads

- Scrum Masters, which will act as your right hand to remove impediments and will assess you in dealing with the different artifacts and ceremonies

- Other Product Owners within BCG, to share best practices and ensure alignment between squads and a culture

- Agile Coaches, with whom you will share passion about Agile ways of working and with whom you will shape promote business agility (within your teams and in the whole company)
