What Youll Do

As a Software Engineering Senior Manager, you will work with the Product Owner to ensure technical initiatives and deliveries are successful

• Responsible for adoption of engineering practices, agreed upon design and suggested changes, to strike a balance between business needs and technical priorities.
• Focus on introduction of tools that result in improvement of velocity/Productivity Gains
• Support the IT Technical Initiatives and maintain the Operational health of the product
• Continue to plan and improve the effectiveess of processes across Build and QA that result in significant Reduction of defect leakage/improve release quality/reduce time to fix defects
• Increase sprint velocity by introduction of modern engineering practices like DevSecOps, Cloud and support PO and CL in planning aspects
• Contribute towards hands-on design and development
• Develop and nurture technical resources

You will act as pioneer, thought leader, problem solver, and be sought out for your technical expertise by product teams, enabling them to go faster and secure.

What Youll Bring

Education and Certifications

• BA/MS degree in computer or information sciences or similar field
• 10+ years of relevant experience in delivering complex IT solutions with strong technical background, preferably in large international organizations

Functional/Technical Skills

• Strong experience in application development in complex and heterogeneous environment
• Solid experience of designing end-to-end solutions on Microsoft stack
• Experience in leading agile development teams in reviewing application design and implementation against quality standards
• Ability to develop process documentation, technical manuals and instructions
• Solid experience in Object-Oriented design SOLID principles and modern design patterns
• Experience in design and implementation of REST APIs and micro-services
• Working knowledge of on-premise/cloud-based infrastructures, SDLC pipelines, and deployments/configurations and definition
• Experienced in software delivery including CI/CD and related DevSecOps practices, working with cloud based platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Strong software design development principles, with a focus on system stability, reusability and performance optimized for a global audience
• Strong understanding of application testing, diagnostics and performance tuning
• Strong understanding of TDD and BDD methodologies.
• Working experience with AI/ML is nice to have

• Scrum and Kanban development methodologies.
• Automation, performance and load testing tools

Who Youll Work With

The Software Engineer - Senior Manager is a position within the HR Product portfolio, which itself is part of BCGs digital products organization. The Product portfolio manages and delivers internal software solutions and IT product offerings to worldwide BCG. The role will work closely with developers of the Product portfolio, product owner, solution architects to deliver on squad commitments and will be reporting to Chapter Lead - Software Engineering.
