About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled *GCP DevOps Engineer* with 5-10 years of experience to design, implement, and manage GCP infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in *Terraform, **GKE, **CI/CD pipelines, and **security protocols*, and will be responsible for provisioning GCP resources, automating infrastructure deployments, optimizing performance, ensuring security and compliance, and troubleshooting issues efficiently. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be expected to collaborate effectively with development and customer teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- *Design and Implement GCP Infrastructure*:
Use *Terraform* to automate the provisioning and management of GCP resources (Infrastructure as Code - IaC). Ensure efficient, scalable, and reliable deployments of GCP infrastructure.

- *GKE Cluster Management*:
Provision and manage *Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)* clusters, leveraging *Helm* for deployment. Implement best practices for configuring *StatefulSets*, ensuring horizontal and vertical scalability, and ensuring High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) setup.

- *CI/CD Pipeline Setup and Optimization*:
Design, optimize, and maintain *CI/CD pipelines* for seamless and automated application delivery. Use *GitHub Actions* to trigger *ArgoCD* deployments in a *GitOps* workflow to automate and streamline deployment cycles.

- *Optimize Performance and Costs*:
Implement *performance tuning* strategies to ensure optimal operation of GCP services. Monitor and optimize costs by recommending efficient resource usage, instance types, and scaling policies to balance performance and cost-efficiency.

- *Security and Compliance*:
Design and maintain *security protocols* for GCP infrastructure, ensuring that all resources comply with *industry standards* and best practices. Implement security controls such as *IAM roles, **service accounts*, and encryption strategies to secure data and access.

- *Monitoring and Troubleshooting*:
Set up, configure, and manage *monitoring tools* (e.g., *Prometheus, **Grafana) to track infrastructure health, application performance, and security. Build **dashboards* to visualize the state of the infrastructure and application metrics. Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

- *Collaboration*:
Collaborate closely with *development* and *customer teams* to streamline the deployment process and improve operational efficiency. Act as a key liaison between infrastructure and application development teams to ensure smooth operations.

- *Performance Tuning*:
Continuously monitor and fine-tune the performance of GCP PaaS components like *Cloud SQL, **Pub/Sub, **BigQuery, etc. Offer **infrastructure sizing* recommendations and optimize resource allocation.

- *Documentation*:
Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation on infrastructure procedures, policies, configurations, and best practices to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure consistency across the team.

*Required Skills and Qualifications*:

- 5-10 years of experience in *DevOps* roles with a focus on *GCP*.
- Strong expertise in *Terraform* for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience managing and provisioning *GKE clusters, including using **Helm* and Kubernetes best practices (StatefulSets, scalability, HA/DR).
- Expertise in setting up and optimizing *CI/CD pipelines, using **GitHub Actions* and *ArgoCD* for *GitOps* workflows.
- In-depth knowledge of *performance tuning* and *cost optimization* in *GCP* services.
- Hands-on experience with GCP security protocols and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and *Grafana, **Prometheus* for alerting and reporting.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues related to GCP services, Kubernetes, and application deployments.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and streamline operations.
- Strong documentation skills to maintain procedures, guidelines, and configurations.
