Job Title: Assistant Manager - Accounts Receivable & GL Reconciliations
Location: Gurugram
Department: Finance & Accounts

Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager - Accounts Receivable & GL Reconciliations will be responsible for managing and optimizing the end-to-end Accounts Receivable (AR) Accounting and accurate reconciliation of the General Ledger (GL). The role requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder management, and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Accounts Receivable (AR) process, ensuring timely and accurate invoices, collections, and cash application.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Customer Service, and Finance, to streamline AR operations.
  • Generate and analyze AR reports, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Assist in the automation and integration of the AR process with NetSuite and other financial systems.
  • Manage and execute periodic General Ledger (GL) reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage and execute periodic Bank/Gateway reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage and execute periodic Reconciliation between the Internal CRM with the ERP accounting system.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to AR and GL reconciliation efficiency.
  • Ensure proper accounting and reconciliation of revenue, credit notes, and adjustments.
  • Train and mentor team members to enhance their competencies in AR and GL reconciliation operations.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring proper documentation and controls.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of the AR process, and revenue accounting.
  • Expertise in General Ledger reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in processing automation and digital transformation is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • MBA/CA Inter/Postgraduate/Graduate (Finance).
  • 5-7 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, GL Reconciliations, or related finance roles.
  • Prior experience in managing a team and working with ERP systems.
  • Experience in a Startup, E-Commerce environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Indian taxation and compliance related to invoicing and AR.
