Job Description:

Basant is looking for an Assistant Purchase Manager with 5+ years of experience in procurement, specifically in the furniture handicraft industry. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the local hardware and raw material market in Jodhpur and expertise in hardware purchasing for furniture manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure hardware materials and other essential components for furniture manufacturing.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local vendors and suppliers in Jodhpur.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team for timely availability of materials.
• Assess vendor performance based on quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and maintain proper documentation.
• Collaborate with the design and production teams to understand material needs.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers for better pricing and quality improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years of experience in purchase/procurement within the furniture handicraft industry.
• Strong knowledge of the local Jodhpur market for hardware and raw materials.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple suppliers and ensure timely procurement.
• Proficiency in MS Office & ERP systems for purchase tracking.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
